Abstract Submission Conditions and General Rules

  • Abstracts must be submitted by 24:00 on June 20, 2025.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed through a blind peer-review process by the Scientific Evaluation Committee.
  • The acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to authors following the reviewers’ evaluations.
  • Abstracts must not exceed 300 words.
  • The abstract title should fully reflect the content of the study.
  • Authors must include full name, title, institution, city, and contact information.
  • Abstracts must not contain any identifying information about the authors or their institutions that would compromise the blind review process.
  • Except for case reports, abstracts should include the following sections: Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Each participant may submit a maximum of 2 abstracts as presenter: either 1 oral and 1 poster, or 2 posters.
  • Accepted abstracts will be flagged in the system, and users will be able to track the status of their abstracts through their accounts.
  • The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register for the symposium.
  • Participants who register early and whose abstracts are not accepted will receive a full refund without deductions.

Abstract Preparation and Formatting Guidelines

  • Abstracts may be submitted in Turkish or English and must comply with the specified formatting guidelines. Authors are responsible for any writing errors.
  • The title must be written in all capital letters.
  • The abstract text must not exceed 300 words, excluding keywords.
  • Abstracts must include the following sections:
    • Objective: Clearly state why the study was conducted and its aims.
    • Materials and Methods: Specify the methods, materials used, and type and number of subjects involved.
    • Results: Highlight important findings and include statistical results.
    • Conclusion: Present conclusions based on the study's findings.
    • Keywords: Provide at least 3 keywords.
  • The abstract must also indicate which topic from the “Main Topics” page it belongs to. This is important for reviewer assignment and session planning.

Oral Presentation Rules

  • Each oral presentation will be allocated 8 minutes, followed by a Q&A session.
  • Strict adherence to the presentation duration is required to ensure the program runs smoothly.

Poster Presentation Rules

  • Posters must be prepared and submitted digitally.
  • Poster dimensions should be 70 cm (width) x 100 cm (height) in portrait orientation, created in PowerPoint and converted to PDF format.
  • Posters will be displayed as e-posters in the designated area assigned by the organizing committee.
  • The presenting author's name must be underlined.
  • The presenter must be present at their poster during the assigned session time.

  2. Ayhan Enacar Case Report Award
  3. Research Poster Award
  4. Yasemin Boncuk Tüzgiray Clinical Poster Award

Attention for Award Applicants:

  • Participants wishing to apply for awards must select the award they’re applying for during the abstract submission process in the Abstract Agent system.
  • After clicking the “Submit to Scientific Committee” button at the final step, go to the “Abstract List” section and use the “Full Text Upload” button next to your abstract to upload the required file in PDF format.
  • For the Orhan Okyay Oral Presentation Award and Research Poster Award, a full text of up to 10 pages in PDF format must be submitted. See the Awards page for details.
  • For the Ayhan Enacar Case Report Award and Yasemin Boncuk Tüzgiray Clinical Poster Award, a PowerPoint presentation with 5 slides, converted to PDF, must be uploaded. You can download the presentation template and get more information from the Awards page.
  • Candidates must review the application requirements under the "Awards" tab before applying.
  • One abstract cannot be nominated for more than one award.
