Smile Beyond Limits: Treatment in Early Mixed Dentition with Invisalign First

This lecture will discuss a paradigm shift towards early interceptive treatment and a comprehensive approach to various malocclusions in mixed dentition. Biomechanics, ClinCheck set -up and staging patterns for Invisalign First will be discussed for severely crowded cases, Class I, Class II and Class III treatment

Coffee Break 11.00 AM – 11.30 AM

Session 2 - 11.30– 1.00 PM (90 minutes)

Early Intervention in Maxillary Transverse Deficiency: Paediatric expansion protocols

In this presentation, Dr Sandra Tai will discuss clinical applications of maxillary expansion in orthodontic practice. This will be illustrated with more advanced IPE cases including severe crowding and full permanent dentition expansion. Dr Tai will show an improvisation to integrate the protraction facemask together with the IPE for skeletal Class III growth modification for maxillary retrusion. She will also discuss several on-going prospective clinical trials on the IPE.

Lunch 1.00 PM – 2.00 PM

Session 3: - 2.00- 3.30 PM (90 minutes)

Teen Complex Cases: The good, the bad and the ugly!
Borderline extraction cases, extraction cases and impacted canines

Clear aligners are able to combine distalization, expansion and interproximal reduction so that certain borderline cases may be treated successfully with a non-extraction approach. However, extractions are still often performed to reduce protrusion and alleviate crowding, as well as camouflage skeletal discrepancies. Finally, there are some cases that many clinicians still believe is beyond the realm of aligner treatment such as impacted canines. This lecture will also demonstrate how to treat impacted canines with aligners with CBCT integration.

Coffee Break 3.30 PM – 4.00 PM

Session 4 4.00PM – 5.00 PM (60 mins)

Clinical Tips for Success with Invisalign with Mandibular Advancement

This presentation will review the evidence for Invisalign MA and present clinical tips and tricks for success with Invisalign with Mandibular Advancement, including case selection criteria, setting up the digital treatment plan and clinical execution. Invisalign MA with Occlusal Blocks will also be discussed and demonstrated with clinical cases.
